St. Marcus Parish Wide Christmas Project

St. Marcus Parish Wide Christmas Project
Soldier’s Angels Stockings & Hats will be given to Military Soldiers who will not be home for Christmas this year. Just purchase a simple Christmas Stocking and a winter hat.

Then fill the stocking with some items, such as:
Playing Cards, Socks, Slim Jims or Beef Jerky, Lip Balm, Travel Size Games, Packets of Nuts, Single Serve Cookies or Drink Mix Packets (these have to be small zip lock bags in case they leak), Warm Winter Caps, Small Note Pads, Gloves (one size fits all, preferably black) Peanut Brittle, Puzzles Books, Single Serving of Cookies, Candy Canes, Stress Balls, and other holiday themed items.

For a complete list of items you can put in your stocking, it’s posted in the gathering space— along with more information about this project.

Fill your stocking with your items - cover the stocking with the hat. The date to drop off your stockings has been extended to December 6th. (There is a drop box in the gathering space.)

We are also looking for monetary donations for the St. Marcus Youth Group, so they can provide items and services to the Feed My Starving Children organization.

Wednesday Evening Classes

Students in grades 1-9 should continue their studies as outlined in the assigned textbooks. Please contact Betty if you need assistance or have questions. There are also family and child Advent resources in the gathering space at church to enrich the gentle season of Advent. Four candles, they don’t need to be purple and pink, could be used as your family prays together during this holy season to mark the weekly progression to the great feast of Christmas.
